Good questions.
Helpful answers.

Taking the first step can feel like a lot.
We’re here to make it easier.

Is the training really free?

For eligible learners, tuition, registration and exam fees are fully funded. Accredited programmes are supported by the Greater London Authority Adult Education Budget through our partnership with Hackney Adult Learning Services. Our team will confirm your eligibility before you enrol.

Who can apply for a funded place?

We support adults aged 19 and over who are unemployed, have low or no income, or are employed and receive Universal Credit. Residency and right-to-work conditions may also apply. Please contact us so staff can check your individual circumstances.

Can I join without any qualifications?

Yes. We welcome adults with no formal education or school certificates. Introductory pathways and Functional Skills in Maths and English can help you build confidence from the ground up. We’ll help you find an appropriate starting level.

Will I learn in person or online?

We provide learning at our Holly Street centre in Hackney, including one-to-one support. We also use Zoom and Microsoft Teams for group sessions, tutorials, assignment reviews and feedback. Your tutor will explain the arrangements for your course.

Can I study if I’m already working?

Yes. We support adults who want to develop skills or change career. If you have a low income or receive Universal Credit, a funded place may be available. Contact us to discuss eligibility and the learning schedule.

What should I bring when I enrol?

Bring ID such as a passport, birth certificate or biometric residence permit; a recent utility bill or official letter as proof of address; and your latest Universal Credit statement or recent payslips as proof of benefits or income. Ask our team if you need help with documents.
